About Me

Hi! I’m so glad you found me. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals age 11+, couples, and families. My systems-based training has shaped my approach to problems in the context of relationships. Consequently, even in my work with individuals, I view things from a systemic perspective, seeing connections between current symptoms and patterns of relating within families and larger systems. I’m enlivened by my clients’ bravery in choosing to pour into themselves and their relationships by pursuing therapy. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be trusted with your most precious stories. It is my greatest joy to walk with you from shame and enslavement to freedom and empowerment.

In my work with…

Individuals

I utilize Internal Family Systems, a form of therapy that helps clients consider how parts of themselves can work together to adapt to and overcome trauma. With this approach, we recognize that our inner world has the power to greatly influence our physical, spiritual, mental, and relational health. Our goal is to gain greater access to self-leadership, so that you may be able to operate from a place of calm confidence, despite hardship. To understand more about this approach, read my blog :

Couples

It is my greatest joy to work with couples who find themselves in a variety of seasons: married, unmarried, engaged, separated, divorced, healing from betrayal, burdened by sexual hurdles, facing chronic conflict, building a blended family, and more. I am a certified facilitator of PREPARE/ENRICH to help premarital couples build a firm foundation for their marriage. I am level 2 trained in Gottman Method Couples Counseling and also integrate Internal Family Systems in my work with couples.

Youth and Families

In my work with Youth (age 11 and up), I work to build a trusting relationship with their parents, ensuring that I build a whole picture of ‘the problem’ and collaborate with them on treatment planning. As a family therapist, I work to consider how boundary lines, hierarchies, developmental stages, attachment wounds, and generational trauma may be impacting harmony. I am honored to work with co-parents, adult-child/parent relationships, siblings, and whole families based on need.
